FEATURED:
PURTY P'S SINGLE DOT
DOT is officially retiring next year!
UPDATED 12/12/25
We are currently taking applications for her. If you are interested in providing a retirement home for Dot, please read on.
Dot wants to meet her forever family! She is a 5-year-old black tri female with adorable freckles and beautiful, expressive copper eyes.
She is an absolute sweetheart of a girl and has passed her sweet nature on to the next generation. She has been an outstanding mother and her duties as a working mom have been fulfilled with exceptional grace. She has more than earned the right to live out her remaining years with dignity, love and companionship. Are you the right person or family to fill her golden years with joy and happiness? Let us know!
Dot is fully vaccinated and dewormed.
She is leash trained and house trained and will ask to go outside by turning circles and biting at her wiggly-butt. It's an unmistakable request: gotta poop now, please!
She is a very relaxed girl around the house and doesn't wander far when left outside to her own devises. She's a low-energy type of girl but will keep up on adventures!
She is very affectionate with "her people" She will bark at and be standoffish with strangers. She loves stuffed toys and playing in the water. She hopes to have a kiddie pool of her very own at her new home.
She is not crate trained as there has never been a need for it. She can be trusted to behave when left alone in the house or yard. *UPDATE 12/12/25- SHE IS NOW KENNEL TRAINED FOR INDOOR KENNEL.
She is trained to kennel outdoors.
She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats and farm animals, with the exception of chickens (she thinks they're yummy). It is her only bad habit. Do not apply if you have free range birds.
She has not been on many car rides but has done very well on the few she has enjoyed.
UPDATE 12/12/25: DOT HAS BEEN ON SEVERAL. MORE CAR RIDES OVER THE LAST MONTH AND IS A RELAXED AND WELL-BEHAVED PASSENGER. SHE'S BEEN LEFT ALONE IN THE CAR FOR UPTO 1/2 HR AND DONE GREAT!
She has not spent much time with children but has been well-behaved around the ones she has met. Adult only homes will be given priority.
The only aggression she has ever shown has been to other dogs in protection of her puppies. Understandable. Once her puppies are weaned, she goes back to her usual sunny disposition.
You will be required to spay her. This requirement will be included in her adoption contract.
Her new person/family will need to have sufficient room, such as a fenced yard or acreage. Apartments will not be approved.
There will be no fee for her adoption.
Dot will be ready for adoption on 1/01/2027.
